our approach

Every individual and family is unique, and every challenge deserves a safe, compassionate space. We offer therapeutic support tailored to the needs of adults, children, and adolescents, with a focus on strengthening relationships and helping couples and families thrive together.

Our approach ensures that families and children receive the right support, at the right time, the first time round – which reduces re-admissions to other services, in case of children in care; facilitates faster returns to lower-cost community living and brings an end to the cycle of failed placements.

SARAH LEPARD INTEGRATIVE COUNSELLOR FOR ADULTS, CHILDREN AND ADOLESCENTS, CLINICAL SUPERVISOR

sarah leppard

ASSOCIATE INTEGRATIVE COUNSELLOR FOR ADULTS, CHILDREN AND ADOLESCENTS, AND CLINICAL SUPERVISOR

Sarah is an integrative therapist with over five years of experience, offering compassionate, tailored therapy for children, adolescents, and families. Sarah’s approach is centred on helping clients feel safe, understood, and supported, so they can make the most of their time in therapy and move towards positive change.

As an integrative practitioner, Sarah draws on a range of counselling theories and approaches, allowing her to adapt her work to suit each child, young person, or family as unique individuals with their own needs, strengths, and experiences.

Before training as a therapist, Sarah worked in schools for 14 years. This has given her a strong understanding of the education system, the challenges children and adolescents face within it, and the importance of working collaboratively with families. This background helps Sarah support not only young people but also parents and carers in a holistic and informed way.

Sarah is fully qualified to work with children and currently supports young people in both schools and private practice. She works with a wide range of issues, including anxiety, low mood, self-esteem, confidence, bullying, relationship difficulties, trauma and sexual trauma, grief and loss, experiences of being in care or placed away from home and supporting young carers.

Sarah aims to create a warm, non-judgemental space where children and young people feel able to express themselves at their own pace. Depending on their age, needs, and preferences, Sarah may use creative and play-based methods such as Lego, art materials, junk modelling, or talk-based therapy. Sometimes this simply involves listening carefully and helping them put words to their feelings.

When working with families, Sarah values collaboration and open communication, which support a stronger understanding, connection, and resilience within the family system.

Sarah’s goal is always to help children, adolescents, and families feel heard, empowered, and better equipped to navigate life’s challenges.

aneta bugajna

ASSOCIATE INTEGRATIVE COUNSELLOR FOR ADULTS, CHILDREN AND ADOLESCENTS

Aneta is a Humanistic Integrative Counsellor working with adults, children, and young people (8+). She offers a warm, supportive, and non-judgmental space where clients can explore their thoughts, emotions, and experiences at their own pace and begin to make sense of what feels difficult or overwhelming.

Aneta believes therapy is a collaborative journey - one where clients remain in control, and she is here to guide and support them with warmth, empathy, and curiosity. At the core of her work is a person-centred approach, which means she sees clients as the experts in their own lives. Her role is to help them gain insight, develop healthier coping strategies, and gently move away from patterns that no longer serve them.

As a humanistic integrative counsellor, Aneta tailors therapy to each individual. Her core training is grounded in person-centred therapy, with integrative elements including Gestalt Therapy and Transactional Analysis (TA). Where helpful, Aneta also draws on CBT-informed and DBT-informed skills, alongside compassion-focused CBT principles. She places particular emphasis on emotional awareness, self-compassion, and supporting clients in building a kinder, more understanding relationship with themselves.

Aneta works with a range of issues, including anxiety, stress, and overthinking; low self-esteem and self-criticism; difficulties understanding and regulating emotions; relationship and family difficulties, including boundary challenges; the impact of earlier life experiences; life transitions such as separation, loss, or change; and parenting-related concerns. She also works with parents, offering space to reflect on the emotional demands of parenting, strengthening their understanding of their child’s needs, and building confidence in their role.

Alongside Aneta’s professional training, her experience navigating significant life changes informs how she works, allowing her to meet clients with empathy, realism, and compassion and to support them in finding practical ways forward during difficult times.

Alongside Aneta’s work in private practice, she works as a counsellor with children and young people in school settings. Aneta also has experience working with children and young people in educational and supportive settings, which helps her adapt her approach to different ages, developmental stages, and communication styles.

When working with children and young people, Aneta adapts her approach to their age and developmental stage and may use creative tools such as drawing, simple art-based activities, or games to help them express themselves and feel more at ease in the therapeutic space. She is particularly passionate about supporting young people to feel heard, understood, and accepted.

Aneta is known for her warm, empathic presence and her ability to build trusting therapeutic relationships. Her aim is to create a space where clients feel safe, heard, respected, and supported to make meaningful and lasting changes.

Aneta offers counselling in both English and Polish.
